The Border Readers take to the road this Autumn with 'Murder They Write'. Live readings of brilliant short stories by northern based leading crime writers Ann Cleeves, Martin Edwards and Cath Staincliffe.
A varying combination of core readers and guests will play individual venues through October and November. Janine Birkett, Stephen Tomlin and Grace Kirby are scheduled to be joined by friends Sarah Thurstan, Wynne Potts, Roberta Kerr, Helen Longworth, Sue McCormick and Peter Macqueen.

The Habit of Silence' by Ann Cleeves is a 'Vera' murder whodunnit played out in the Lit & Phil library with a backstory set on the Roman wall.
The Case of the Musical Butler - Martin Edwards' homage to Sherlock Holmes, where the great detective's search for a missing person unearths a hidden identity in the process.
'Riviera' - Cath Staincliffe A brilliant black comedy delivered as a Victoria Wood style monologue.
