Described as gentle folk Americana, vocalist and guitar player Edwina Hayes sits somewhere between Joni Mitchell and Suzanne Vega. Originally from Preston, living in East Yorkshire, and with her heart firmly in Nashville; she brings together Americana, English folk and the rich northern singer-songwriter tradition to create a sound that is truly her own. Her beautifully written songs, charming stage presence and voice of an angel have won her a reputation as a true talent. Described by Nanci Griffith, who covered the title track of Edwina's album Pour Me a Drink, as "the sweetest voice in England", her accolades include opening numerous shows for Jools Holland and having her Randy Newman cover, Feels Like Home, featured in the Cameron Diaz film, My Sister's Keeper.
